JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:

The Consumer Lending Risk Specialist is responsible for assisting in the ongoing maintenance of a comprehensive compliance and risk program for Consumer Lending.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in monitoring the compliance function and Key Risk Indicators.
  • Monitors and tests to safeguard against systemic issues and ensure compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulations and guidance, Bank policy, and procedures
  • Monitors the effectiveness of controls  in place in current policy and procedures to protect Consumer Lending against criminal and  fraudulent activity and unnecessary risk or exposure
  • Evaluates, tests and reports that practices in the workplace and relevant systems agree with controls in policy and procedure

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years of consumer lending risk experience

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:

  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
  • Ability to operate  related equipment to perform the essential job functions
  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions
  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.  If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
