Develop Schreiber’s Consumer Insights discipline in order to understand and communicate the holistic voice of the consumer to enable strategic solutions and drive profitable growth. Influence internal and external customers to implement recommended strategies that are founded in fact based market trends by developing key cross-functional relationships. Identify relevant insights by managing research vendors and tools, recognize and fill research gaps as needed. This includes deployment of our syndicated resources (e.g., IRI/Nielsen, Datassential, NPD) to create/support selling strategies relevant to our product/customer mix for external and internal partners. This also includes identifying custom research needs and managing these research projects to completion and through execution of the findings. This position has direct report(s).
What you’ll do:
Manage and provide strategic deliverables to cross-functional teams through the generation of consumer behavior and sales stories from primary and syndicated data.
Lead and deliver recommendations of executable solutions through knowledge of customer and category to business scenarios that are measurable.
Collaborate and share best practices to create an understanding of issues faced in the marketplace, and potential implications of insights.
Presentations will involve direct customer calls.
Develop sales stories that provide actionable and unique insights.
Monitor consumer and market intelligence information to deliver specific information on consumer trends in marketplace.
Employ information from outside sources to drive story and develop priorities.
Manage the development and execution of qualitative and quantitative research based on business needs and objectives
Provides coaching, tools, direction and leadership support to external analysts, interns, and the broader team in order to achieve business results
Lead efforts to support R&D, Culinary, Product Managers, and Sales Partners by providing regular macro trends and insights.
Manage relationships with vendors
Ensure accurate data is reported and lead database management with vendors.
Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelors in Marketing / Sales or related field.
7 or more years of relevant work experience
3+ years of experience in extensive use of Nielsen/IRI, Datassential, and other syndicated data tools.
Advanced knowledge with Nielsen or IRI, Datassential and other syndicated data tools.
Capable at converting data into compelling information to guide marketing and sales efforts.
Requires exceptional customer-facing communication skills.
