Greenberg Traurig’s Financial Regulatory & Compliance Practice comprises of more than 80 attorneys throughout the United States and in Latin America, Europe and Asia. Our department’s global platform distinctively positions us to address the needs of both domestic and international clients. We continue to build on a practice base that, while very broad, is nonetheless refined to serve the unique industry, practice, and jurisdictional needs of our diverse client base.
Candidates should have a minimum of 6 years of financial services regulatory and compliance experience in the areas mortgage lending and servicing, consumer finance, commercial finance, alternative lending products such as buy now, pay later (BNPL) and earned wage access (EWA) products, and FinTech products and structures. Experience with state licensing, product development, compliance, and bank partnership models is important. Knowledge of key financial services laws and regulations is sought (e.g., TILA, RESPA, UDAAP/UDAP, HMDA, FCRA, and FDCPA). Enforcement experience is a plus as well as experience with money services businesses and payment systems.
Candidates must be willing to take on significant responsibility, have a strong commitment to client service, be team-oriented and entrepreneurial. Candidates must be admitted to or eligible for admission in the relevant jurisdiction. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
