Consulting Senior Associate (Climate)

The Consulting Associate/Senior Associate will support ERM’s Corporate Sustainability and Climate Change (CSCC) services, with a focus on project management, delivery, and client relationship management. This is a full-time position based in Bangkok, Thailand.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for delivering Corporate Sustainability and Climate Change services to ERM clients in Thailand and Southeast Asia. This role aligns with ERM’s purpose and values, involving projects across various sectors, including industrial, financial, and public sectors, as well as clients in countries throughout Southeast Asia/Asia Pacific. The candidate should be capable of handling the following tasks at a minimum:

• Assist in developing strategies to align with international climate agreements (e.g., Paris Agreement) and domestic climate policies in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
• Support monitoring and evaluation of market trends related to climate change, including carbon markets and climate-related financial risks and opportunities.
• Help advise clients on integrating climate change considerations into their business strategies and operations, and assist in developing corporate sustainability and ESG reports.
• Develop and set targets for corporate sustainability and CSR strategies. Provide climate strategy services, including analysis of climate risks and opportunities, and decarbonization strategies.
• Perform gap analysis and benchmarking of client sustainability programs and performance.
• Analyze sustainability risks, opportunities, and trends for clients, including conducting policy and regulatory analysis.
• Develop comprehensive corporate sustainability and ESG reports.
• Assist clients in responding to assessment questionnaires and disclosure requirements, such as DJSI CSA, CDP, TCFD, IFRS S2, etc.
• Support the management and delivery of corporate sustainability and climate-related proposals.
• Actively contribute to effective project teams through collaboration.
• Support the training workshops to both internal and external clients in the area of CSCC services.
• Support the general growth and development of ERM’s global CSCC services. Collaborate with Project Managers, team members, ERM global practitioners to execute projects, including participating on teams comprised of CS&CC professionals from multiple offices around the global organization.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Relevant degree in environmental science, economics, engineering, or a similar discipline. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Professional Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in climate change, corporate sustainability, business strategy, or related fields. Previous consulting experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in climate financing; and climate adaptation and resilience planning is a plus.
  • Understanding of current trends in renewable energy, decarbonization strategies, Net Zero planning, and Low Carbon Economy Transition.
• Language Proficiency: Effective presentation and communication skills in both Thai and English.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
