Consulting Manager - Tax Content Technology

Job Summary

The Consulting Manager – Tax Content & Forms will define and lead the vision and strategy for U.S. Professional Tax content, with a focus on forms, calculations, and regulatory and aligned to the needs of Tax & Accounting firms, enabling trusted compliance solutions across varying levels of firm size and complexity.

The position for Consulting Manager will require to perform and achieve below:

• Responsible for ensuring the completeness, correctness and overall quality of CCH Axcess Tax and CCH ProSystem FX Tax (CCH Software). CCH Software is used by public and private accounting firms around the world.
• Perform the analysis, research, and interpretation of state and federal tax rules and regulations and apply this knowledge through implementation of our proprietary software development application
• Program tax return calculations, e-file paths and update user interfaces within proprietary software development application to conform to year-over-year agency changes
• Lead the team to analyze, interpret, prepare and input tax test data scenarios to obtain MeF (Modernized e-filing) Assurance Testing system approval from state or Federal Tax Agencies, to meet all assigned deadlines.
• Leading and helping team members with complex fixes and updates for forms and e-filling 
• Coordination with stakeholders and ensuring timely delivery of forms and e-filling
• Develop strong professional working relationship with tax authorities to obtain approval for government forms and associated electronic filings
• Planning training on the software's programming language and developing the content calculations, workflow, and quality assurance
• Lead the team in conducting research and being capable of providing clarification and interpretation through electronic tax research tools and agency web sites
• Work collaboratively with product, content, and technical teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of tax

Skills and Qualification

Education:

• Masters/Bachelor’s in Tax/Accounting/Finance or related field required
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred; not required

Experience:

• Minimum 8 to 14 years of US tax experience ideally with multiple tax return type(Eg. 1120C, 1065,1120S, 1041, 1040 etc. )
• Minimum 6 Years of US tax experience ideally with State Tax Returns.
• Good to have experience in XML and E-filing
• Good to have experience in CCH Axcess Tax and CCH ProSystem FX Tax (CCH Software) as well as experience in form development and testing
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex tax information.
