Position Profile

Weaver is looking for an Associate that can support client engagements by analyzing business operations, identify improvement opportunities, and develop data driven insights to drive measurable impact. This role applies structured consulting methodologies—such as Lean Six Sigma, operational diagnostics, and problem solving frameworks—to evaluate client processes, surface inefficiencies, and recommend actionable solutions. Associates contribute across all phases of the engagement lifecycle, from data collection and analysis through design, delivery, and preparation of client ready materials.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze client operations across commercial, public sector, and higher‑education environments, including community colleges subject to state and federal reporting requirements (e.g., funding models, accountability metrics, enrollment reporting, compliance deliverables)
  • Assess current-state reporting processes (e.g., student data, course outcomes, credential tracking, funding eligibility), identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Work with data extracted from systems such as Ellucian Colleague, including understanding of tables, data structures, workflows, integration points, and reporting constraints
  • Use BI tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or similar to build insights that support regulatory reporting, operational performance evaluation, and student-success analytics
  • Support problem‑solving sessions and prepare structured analyses to answer priority client questions
  • Develop high‑quality client‑ready deliverables including presentations, process maps, operating models, insights summaries, and recommendations
  • Manage multiple workstreams and tasks with attention to timelines, quality expectations, and budget considerations
  • Communicate progress, issues, and insights to senior team members through timely, clear updates
  • Build strong working relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions
  • Exhibit ownership, initiative, and follow‑through, driving tasks to completion with limited supervision
  • Maintain awareness of engagement risks, deliverable quality, and client expectations
  • Adhere to firm policies, professional ethics, and consulting best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, data analytics, operations management, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in management consulting, operations analysis, or similar project-based work
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data
  • Experience (preferred) working with junior/community college reporting requirements—including enrollment reporting, funding formulas, accountability metrics, or state-mandated submissions
  • Familiarity or hands-on experience with Ellucian Colleague (SIS/ERP)—including navigation, data structures, reporting extraction, or operational workflows
  • Ability to translate education-sector data and regulatory requirements into dashboards, KPIs, and operational insights using Fabric, Power BI, or related analytics tools
  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Tableau) to build dashboards, analyze datasets, and generate insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including building executive‑level presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and client service orientation
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Prior project work involving community colleges or higher‑education institutions, particularly related to operational process improvement, funding optimization, student success reporting, or accreditation support
  • Exposure to state-specific reporting frameworks (e.g., Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, HB8 outcome-based funding, IPEDS, or similar frameworks in other states)
  • Experience using or supporting SIS/ERP solutions such as Ellucian Colleague, with the ability to interpret data structures and support analytics/data-quality efforts
