Given our growth plans and ambitions, we have an exciting opportunity in the Growth Advisory team based in Singapore for a Consulting Associate or Consulting Analyst to strengthen our project delivery capabilities in Singapore and the region. As a Consulting Associate / Consulting Analyst, you will be a part of a dynamic global team that strives for excellence in meeting client objectives in a timely manner. The candidate will help build our expertise by developing insightful strategic research to support client engagements and project delivery as well as contribute to commercial activities. You will be encouraged to develop your intellectual curiosity, learn to leverage visionary innovation to address the global challenges facing both public sector and private sector entities and will be provided the ability to collaborate across various areas of the company. The position will support our clients in public sector as well as private sector and will work with the wider industry groups within Frost & Sullivan as per project requirements. The primary focus areas for this candidate will be the Economic Transformation group and the Investor Transformation group.
Economic Transformation group
This group empowers public sector, government and quasi-government organizations as well as multilateral organizations to drive transformation and enhancement that ultimately benefits society and enables economic growth by leveraging our global reach, wide and deep industry expertise, knowledge of the current and evolving industry ecosystems as well as a keen understanding of emerging disruptive technologies and innovative business models.
The ET team provides support to our clients in areas of infrastructure development, policy / regulatory review & formulation, development of industry & technology roadmaps, investment promotion, organizational development, and transformation to drive economic development outcomes in order to benefit citizens while mitigating risks and challenges.
Investor Transformation group
This group drives and manages relationships with the financial services community and leads our efforts in providing advisory / consulting engagements to them. Leading customer segments include Investment Banks, Commercial Banks, Insurance companies, Venture Capital companies, Private Equity Firms, and Institutional Fund Managers, among others.
The group, serving these customers, meets the needs of predominantly corporate (private sector) clients in all aspects of proprietary / customized research, due diligence, idea generation, opportunity analysis, market monitoring, financial modeling/ feasibility studies, investment valuation, mergers & acquisitions support and Independent Market Research (IMR) especially for IPO listing and corporate exercises.
About the Role
As a Consulting Associate / Consulting analyst , your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough background research (both primary and secondary/desk research) and data analysis to support client projects in these two groups working closely with senior consultants and project managers leading the projects. The key objective is to develop strong analytical and critical thinking skills, laying the foundation for future growth. In addition, you will be expected to embrace and embody the core values of the organization, while integrating seamlessly into the team and contributing to a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will function as the bridge between raw data and strategic decision-making, taking full ownership of project workstreams in a fast-paced environment. You are expected to structure the problem, manage the narrative, and ensure that clients accept every deliverable.
- Deliver high-quality primary and secondary research across markets and industries within stipulated timelines. This includes designing expert interview guides, facilitating focus group discussions, and conducting international regulatory benchmarking to provide depth to overall engagements
- Translate complex client challenges into structured problem statements. You will perform advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis including financial modeling and competitor analysis to develop and test hypotheses as relevant
- Take full ownership of managing key work modules or small projects. This involves leading the execution from initial scoping and hypothesis development to the delivery of final insights and presentations.
- Architect the storyline and Table of Contents (TOC) for client deliverables. You will develop high-quality reports and presentations that utilize strong visual storytelling to make technical data accessible to senior government decision-makers.
- Lead client teams and facilitate discussions on project scope and methodology. You are expected to maintain highly professional interactions, making yourself available as a trusted advisor for the client's strategic needs.
- Identify growth opportunities and lead the development of robust methodologies for proposals. You will actively participate in business development tasks, including crafting and delivering client pitches.
- Plan and assign tasks for delivery modules, guiding junior team members to ensure their output aligns with project goals. You are responsible for unprompted quality checks to ensure all work is "client-ready" with minimal supervision.
- Manage multiple projects and stakeholder priorities concurrently. You must ensure all tasks are delivered accurately and on time, even under the high-pressure timelines typical of public sector consulting.
- Maintain fluent, professional-level written and spoken communication in English. Similar expertise and experience in Mandarin will also be preferred.
- Contribute to the firm’s growth by identifying process improvements and developing thought leadership content that strengthens the firm’s market position.
- Be prepared to travel domestically and regionally as required to support project objectives and client engagements.
Required Competencies
We are seeking a curious, methodical, and strategic thinker who can connect the dots between disparate data, industry trends, government policies and regulations, and business impact. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities with excellent communication skills, professional presence, and resilience in dynamic situations with utmost integrity.
- A relevant university degree (BA, BS) in Business, Economics, Finance, Law, Public Administration, Engineering, or Technology. A postgraduate degree (Master’s or PhD) is highly regarded and considered a distinct analytical advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in management consulting, advisory, or strategic roles within a professional services environment.
- An analytical thought process with the ability to research and synthesize complex data into a coherent, persuasive narrative. Must possess business-level fluency and outstanding written/verbal communication skills in English. Similar expertise in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
- A foundational understanding of industry ecosystems and public sector structures, industry roadmaps / linkages, and competitive landscapes. You should be able to contextualize broad trends into specific policy or business impacts.
- The ability to network effectively to build new professional relationships and proactively manage ongoing stakeholder connections to stay ahead of market intelligence and client needs.
- Demonstrated confidence in presenting to peers, senior clients, and on camera. You must be able to articulate critical thinking clearly and defend your analysis in a calm, professional, and evidence-based manner.
- A team player who views collaboration as a vehicle for professional development. At this level, you are expected to not only contribute but also lead small modules and guide junior team members toward high-quality deliverables.
- Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to translate research into practical, data-driven recommendations that meet strategic client needs.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet targeted project timelines.
- Very good knowledge and experience in using MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint and use of AI and visualization tools.
