Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct VAT reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance compliance and efficiency
- Advise clients on VAT compliance and guide VAT–related issues, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Gather, analyze, and make recommendations based on customer data that improve the organization’s operating efficiencies and costs.
- Analyze and interpret complex VAT regulations and legislation, providing accurate and timely advice to clients
- Stay updated on the latest VAT developments and changes in legislation, and proactively communicate their impact to clients
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, legal, and tax departments, to ensure alignment and integrated VAT solutions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor´s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex VAT regulations and provide accurate advice.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research. It is an advantage to know about ERP systems or scanning systems.
