Shape infrastructure delivery through strategic scheduling leadership.At American Transmission Company, reliable project delivery begins with clear plans, trusted schedules, and timely decisions. We are looking for a Scheduling Program Manager to lead scheduling strategy, governance, and execution across a portfolio of programs and projects. This role is an opportunity to strengthen schedule integrity, improve portfolio visibility, and influence the successful delivery of critical infrastructure work.
Essential Responsibilities:
What You'll DoLead Scheduling Strategy & Governance
- Guide scheduling practices across multiple programs and projects.
- Establish and maintain scheduling standards, governance processes, controls, and communication routines.
- Partner with project and program leaders to align priorities, milestones, and delivery objectives.
- Provide direction, prioritization, coaching, and quality oversight to contracted Schedulers.
Drive Schedule Performance
- Develop, review, and manage integrated schedules using Primavera P6.
- Monitor schedule health, milestones, critical-path impacts, variances, and forecasting.
- Identify risks, assumptions, constraints, and delivery concerns early.
- Recommend mitigation strategies and help resolve schedule conflicts.
Strengthen Portfolio Visibility
- Analyze schedule trends and translate data into actionable insights.
- Provide clear reporting and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
- Support portfolio prioritization, work sequencing, and informed decision-making.
- Escalate concerns that could affect schedule integrity or milestone achievement.
Develop People & Improve Processes
- Balance scheduler workloads and resource capacity across active and planned work.
- Coach and mentor contracted and internal scheduling resources.
- Drive improvements in consistency, reporting quality, forecasting, documentation, and controls.
- Provide direct scheduling support for complex, high-priority, or high-visibility work as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management.
- Five years of experience in project controls, scheduling, construction scheduling, or transmission project scheduling.
- Advanced Primavera P6 scheduling and schedule management experience.
- Experience leading scheduling resources and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Experience developing integrated schedules, forecasts, milestones, and progress tracking methods.
- Ability to identify schedule risks, constraints, issues, and critical-path impacts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Portfolio- or program-level scheduling governance and execution.
- Capital project or infrastructure delivery experience.
- Experience overseeing contracted Schedulers or external scheduling resources.
- Experience creating scheduling standards, controls, governance practices, and communication routines.
- Experience supporting complex, high-priority, or high-visibility projects.
- A record of improving schedule consistency, reporting quality, forecasting, or resource planning.

The targeted base pay for this position is $148,300 to $173,000 annually.* Base pay is one component of our comprehensive total rewards package which includes an annual incentive bonus, employer-sponsored pension plan, 401(k) match, HSA contribution, life & disability insurance, health care benefits, generous time off plans, flexible work arrangements, and much more.
