We are seeking a talented individual to join our Mercer Sentinel team at Mercer. This role will be based in Manila, Philippines. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
You will be part of a newly established and growing Mercer Sentinel team located in the Philippines, reporting into the Mercer Sentinel Pacific (Australia) team, and interacting with Mercer Sentinel teams in Singapore, London, and US regions - with the potential for overseas work opportunities in global locations for high performers in the long term.
We will count on you to:
Participate in remote Operational Due Diligence (ODD) reviews of fund managers and their key third parties
Review and evaluate key processes and controls including trading lifecycle processes, compliance and risk oversight, back office processes, and IT and cybersecurity controls
Assess IT general controls (access management, change management, backups), application controls, cybersecurity posture, business continuity/disaster recovery, and vendor management practices.
Analyze documentation including data request responses, policies, audit reports, and regulatory reports
Write high quality, in-depth reports detailing key risks, observations, and operational processes.
Manage supporting tasks including meeting scheduling, report formatting, invoicing, and expense management.
Support business development by contributing to client proposals, sample reports, and client calls as needed.
What you need to have:
A university degree is required; a degree in commerce, business, economics, finance, client services, or accounting is preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in funds management and/or fund administration.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to communicate and present effectively to external stakeholders and senior leadership.
A high level of English proficiency, both written and spoken.

Experience with the Dasseti due diligence platform strongly preferred (but not required).
Prior exposure to global operational due diligence or investment management environments.
Advanced degree (MSc, MBA) or professional designations such as CPA, CFA, CAIA, or relevant IT/cyber credentials (CISSP, CISA) preferred (but not required).
Self-motivated working style with demonstrated ability to work independently on client projects and the ability to work well in a team.
Strong project management skills and the ability to motivate others.
Ability to write complex, coherent reports suitable for an advice business.
