$81,300.00 - $135,500.00

Job Title: Presales Consultant 

Department: Global Demo team, Presales 

Location:  Houston, Texas

 

Overview 

The Global Presales Demo team is responsible for creation and maintenance of best in class demonstration packages for AVEVA’s full product portfolio. Owning a library of vision setting demonstrations whilst also supporting the regional sales teams to tailor these demonstrations to customer opportunities. Empowering the global sales teams with assets that are driven by business value and supported by industry data and customer use cases.  

 

Through the development of these high-value demonstration deliverables, this role will help AVEVA’s Presales team (Solution Consultants, Business Value Consultants and Enterprise Architects) and others maximize the AVEVA Value Based Sales approach through the alignment of content with buyer expectations, priorities, and preferences. 

 

Primary Roles and Responsibilities 

• Build deep, hands-on expertise across AVEVA Unified Engineering and Process Simulation, enabling you to implement, configure, test, deploy, maintain, and customize high-quality demonstration environments.  

• Develop end-to-end engineering workflows in demo scenarios, covering multiple disciplines such as process, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation, enhanced with simulation-driven use cases. 

• Design and deliver simulation-led scenarios, including what-if analysis, process design optimization, to clearly demonstrate business value. 

• Work closely with the Global Technical Excellence Leader and portfolio experts to integrate & design demo storylines, aligning engineering design and simulation capabilities with industry use cases.  

• Lead, contribute to, and coordinate multiple concurrent demo-building initiatives, leveraging the global presales community wherever possible. 

• Review, refine, and enhance demonstrations created by other teams to ensure all outputs are templatized, consistent, high-quality, and aligned to target audiences and markets. 

 Operate independently based on high-level work descriptions, prioritizing activities based on schedule and deadlines. 

• Deploy and implement the latest demonstrations within AVEVA Customer Experience Centers (CECs) globally and enable local teams to confidently maintain and deliver those demos. 

• Flexibility to travel to AVEVA events to deploy, configure, and validate software environments, ensuring demonstrations are fully prepared, stable, and ready for live event delivery. 

 

Qualifications & Work Experience 

• Strong understanding of engineering design workflows using AVEVA Unified Engineering (UE) or solutions like Aspen Basic Engineering, COMOS FEED, including disciplines such as Process, electrical, and instrumentation. 

• Hands-on experience with a commercial process simulator (AVEVA, Aspen Tech, Honeywell, ChemCAD, etc.) 

• 5–10 years of experience in process engineering with exposure to Front End Engineering Design in the Hydrocarbon or Chemical industry 

• Ability to design and demonstrate integrated workflows across engineering domains. 

• Experience in building realistic use cases combining engineering data with simulation outputs to support decision-making. 

• Understanding of end-to-end lifecycle workflows (FEED → Design → Operations) and the role of engineering and simulation in driving business outcomes. 

• Ability to operate effectively within a matrixed, global organization, collaborating across countries and time zones. 

• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with strong written and verbal English. 

• Broad application and technology knowledge, with the ability to integrate into project teams and act as a trusted subject-matter expert. 

• Capable of producing concise, clear, and high-quality documentation in support of demos and enablement. 

 Demonstrated ability to contribute as an expert in both internal and external engagements. 

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deliver outcomes effectively. 

• Skilled in providing constructive feedback and delivering training and enablement. 

• Flexible, self-driven, and able to consistently deliver high-quality work with minimal guidance.

Hybrid working
