We are currently looking for a renowned hospital for a Consultant Pediatric Otology - ENT for the UAE location.
The
ideal candidate will have a proven track record in diagnosing and treating a
wide range of ear disorders. This role involves providing comprehensive
otological care, including surgical interventions, to Pediatric patients.
In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient
evaluations and diagnoses.
- Develop and implement individualized
treatment plans.
- Perform a full range of otological
surgical procedures, including:
- Cholesteatoma
ear surgeries
- Tympanoplasty
with ossicular chain reconstruction (ossiculoplasty)
- Mastoidectomy/tympanomastoidectomy/mastoid
obliteration
- Cochlear
implants
- Stapedotomy
/ Stapedectomy
- Bone
Anchored Hearing Aids (BAHA)
- Bone
bridge implants
- CSF
Otorrhoea repair
- Endolymphatic
sac decompression for Meniere’s disease
- Exostoses
canaloplasty
- Facial
nerve decompression / facial nerve reconstruction
- Fistula
repair
- Provide pre-and post-operative care,
including patient education and counseling
- Collaborate with other healthcare
professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in research and academic
activities

Skills Required
- MBBS/MB ChB or equivalent
- FRCPath, American Board, Canadian Board, Australian Board, South African Board or equivalent (Tier 1)
- Full registration and license to practice as a consultant (or eligible within six months)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the same capacity
- Clinical and academic experience in a recognized university hospital
- Extensive experience in otological surgery (including cochlear implants and other advanced procedures)
- Experience in teaching and mentoring residents and fellows
- Advanced training in specific otology areas (e.g., cochlear implants, balance disorders)
- Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
