The Market Research Analyst will be responsible for developing and producing accurate actionable insights at the direction of senior researchers for multiple clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for project management, sometimes in collaboration with Account Executives.
  • Be responsible for programming and fielding primary research projects for Shelton and its clients, which includes:
  • Questionnaire programming and testing.
  • Sample procurement and management for telephone and Internet studies, including some work on nights and weekends when surveys are live to monitor surveys, ensure quality of responses and coordinate with sample/panel provider.
  • Conduct analysis at the direction of and in collaboration with other researchers, which includes:
  • Data cleaning.
  • Creating frequency and cross-tabulation tables for quantitative studies.
  • A variety of statistical methods, e.g., Chi Square, Pearson's correlations, T-tests, ANOVA, Multiple Regression, Cluster Analysis, Factor Analysis and Discriminant Analysis, etc. as needed to meet client objectives.
  • Categorizing and coding responses to open-end questions to understand more nuances in the data to inform the overall analysis.
  • Conducting secondary/Internet information gathering projects such as best practice profiling, issues identification and trending, competitor profiling, new business intelligence gathering, etc.
  • Be responsible for accuracy of reported data.
  • Create supporting graphs and help develop client presentations (typically in PowerPoint) for research studies.
  • Participate in presentation of results to clients.
  • All other duties assigned by supervisor or otherwise directed by the Company.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years professional experience (market research experience preferred).
  • BS/BA/MS in social sciences or statistics preferred. Or the equivalency of 8+ years related experience in lieu of education.
  • Creating work that is visually surprising, captivating, and enviable.
  • Positive outlook, collaborative, and motivated.
  • Skilled written and verbal communicator and presenter.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and analytic software.
  • Prior knowledge of Slack, Monday.com and Teams a plus.
