Job Description- Conduct/witness/assess Metering and Proving.
- Witness/assess Field Prover calibration by Water-draw and Master Meter Prover calibration methods in conformance with MPMS. Chap 4 and 12.
- Witness/Assess metering systems performance, trouble shoot measurement issues presented in meters and related instrumentation available at site, in order to pin point root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Evaluate and Develop a program for verifying and / or calibrate the related instrumentation (Temperature, Pressure, Diff. pressure, etc.) existing in the KOC metering systems.
- Calculate and assess the uncertainty attached for any KOC metering system.
- Abilities/Skills to investigate and provided recommendations to correct situations that results in apparent loss/gain. Moreover, establish criteria to assess loss/gain and associated metering equipment performance tolerance.
- Keep up with new technology development in crude oil measurement to recommend equipment to ensure accurate hydrocarbon measurement.
- Liaison with Production, KNPC and KPC, when required to help identifying system imbalances and reviewing and writing measurement KOC Standards, Manuals, Calibrations procedures and new Project Specifications.
- Graduate Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering.
- At least 20 years of proven experience in metering related measurement application as listed below.
- Orifice meter applications (AGA3, ISO5167)
- Positive Displacement meter applications
- Turbine meter applications
- Ultrasonic meter applications
- Coriolis meter applications
Should be familiar with Oil industry safety standards.
- Fluent to speak / read / write English. Knowledge in Arabic language preferred.
- Knowledge and experience to assess and interact with all types of metering systems, turbine, PD, Orifice, Ultra-sonic, and all types of provers, small volume, bi-directional, uni-directional and various measurement standards.
- Knowledge and experience of using various flow computers.
- Knowledge and experience to assess and interact with Automatic/Sampling Systems and / or In- Line densitometers.
- Knowledge and experience to assess and interact with Automatic Tank Gauging Systems.
Skills Required
- Graduate Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering.
- At least 20 years of proven experience in metering related measurement applications.
- Fluent to speak/read/write English; knowledge in Arabic preferred.
- Familiarity with Oil industry safety standards.
