- Provide Consultant-level assessment, diagnosis and management of endocrine and metabolic disorders.
- Manage complex endocrine conditions and long-term chronic disease.
- Provide specialist management of diabetes and its complications.
- Assess and manage thyroid, adrenal, pituitary and parathyroid disorders.
- Manage calcium and metabolic bone disorders where appropriate.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide ongoing patient follow-up.
- Work collaboratively with other medical and surgical specialties.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical decision-making.
- Support teaching, mentoring and supervision of junior physicians.
- Participate in clinical governance, audit and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and patient safety.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:
- Medical degree such as MBBS, MBChB or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification/training in Endocrinology / Endocrinology and Diabetes / Diabetes & Metabolism, as appropriate to the intended Consultant classification.
- Substantial Consultant-level experience in Endocrinology.
- Recognized Western qualification required in accordance with the employer's criteria.
- Must be eligible for SCFHS professional classification at Consultant level in Endocrinology.
- Valid professional registration/licensing in the country of current practice.
- Ability to provide the relevant qualification, registration and experience documentation required for SCFHS assessment and verification.
- Bilingual Arabic and English communication skills required.
