Consultant (Data Engineer)

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Implement data warehousing solutions and support end-to-end data lifecycle management.
• Work with SQL to write complex queries, optimize performance, and manage data transformation.
• Utilize Azure Portal to manage and monitor cloud-based data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and build data models for analytics and reporting.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and governance in alignment with best practices.
• Provide basic support and understanding of Microsoft Fabric for analytics and data management.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and optimize cloud-based data workflows.

Report project/task status to the appropriate Application Development Manager on a weekly basis (at minimum).

Ensure stakeholders are responded to in a timely and professional manner. Foster open lines of communication with all parties.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical knowledge/experience.

• 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong expertise in SQL, including query performance tuning and stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with Data Warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schema, indexing, and partitioning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ETL/ELT workflows.
• Working knowledge of Azure Portal for resource management and monitoring.
• Understanding of Microsoft Fabric and its role in data analytics.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage).
• Experience in data modeling, data governance, and metadata management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and optimize data pipelines.

• Experience with Python or Spark for data transformations.
• Exposure to real-time data processing (e.g., Azure Event Hubs, Stream Analytics).
• Certifications in Azure Data Engineering (e.g., DP-203), Fabric Certifications (DP600, DP700) or relevant Microsoft certifications.
• Understanding of Power BI or other visualization tools.
