CONNECTIVITY SOFTWARE ENGINEER

The SW development Engineer / Architect is responsible for first establishing the coding requirements at the block, sub-system or system level. SW is then crafted to NXP standards including code review process as deployed by team management. Development of code and associated features is to be tracked with traceability matrix. How this is done can vary per management team. Support for code integration, test and system validation acceptance testing is required at every phase of development. Software development engineers use common development methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver the Matter/OpenThread/ Aliro software components for MCXW low power MCU series.
• Develop and integrate the new functionalities for Aliro, Matter and Open Thread
• Optimize and maintain the existing software modules
• 802.15.4 bring-up with SoC emulation, function validation on silicon.
• Develop the test automation for the Matter/Thread/Aliro software components

Your team

As one of the major R&D force in SCE Processing business line, this connectivity team is responsible for Zigbee, Bluetooth, Thread and Matter networking protocols development for K32W and RT MCU series to support the business of IoT and Industrial markets.

Your profile

To be successful in this role you have:

• Master's degree with 1+ years of experience or Bachelor's degree with 3+ years
• Experienced with C/C++ programming, security on embedded system with Linux and FreeRTOS
• Experience with host interfaces like USB, UART, I2C, SDIO, PCM, GSPI is desired
• Good networking protocols knowledge
• Good knowledge of scripting languages (such as Python)
• Experience with Source Code and Configuration management tools such as git, AI tools
• Considered a plus to have good understanding of BLE, 802.15.4, crypto alg,  and Thread standards
• Fluent English read/write/speak capability 
• Good spirit on teamwork.
