About the role:
As a Technical Product Manager – Connected Solutions, you will drive the technical direction, integration, and communication of the Connected Solutions portfolio across truck platforms. This role bridges engineering, product strategy, and business stakeholders to ensure connected technologies—such as telematics, integrated displays, cameras, LiDAR, and RTLS/zone control—deliver strong customer value and align with platform architecture and business objectives. You will own the technical product narrative, represent the portfolio in executive and gate reviews, and ensure products are cohesively integrated, scalable, and aligned with the roadmap
What you will do:
- Portfolio Technical Leadership & Roadmap Communication:
- Manage and communicate the technical direction of the Connected Solutions portfolio and roadmap. Present in gate reviews and to executive leadership, clearly articulating system capabilities, dependencies, risks, and alignment with business objectives.
- Product Integration & Architecture Alignment:
- Ensure connected products—including telematics, integrated displays, cameras, LiDAR, and RTLS/zone control—integrate effectively within truck platforms and align with overall system architecture and design strategies.
- Cross-Functional Coordination & Delivery Alignment:
- Coordinate across hardware, software, and portal development teams to ensure product execution aligns with customer needs and truck program targets. Drive alignment between engineering development and product goals.
- Process Development for Connected Solutions:
- Establish and implement new processes required to support Connected Solutions on platforms, including field calibration workflows, logistics and billing integration, subscription management, and engineering support for customer service strategies.
- Customer & Business Alignment:
- Ensure Connected Solutions products meet customer expectations and business requirements by incorporating feedback, validating use cases, and aligning features with value delivery and operational goals.
- Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Drive continuous improvement in product management practices, tools, and communication. Maintain strong engagement with stakeholders across engineering, operations, and leadership teams.
When & Where:
- Hybrid Work Schedule in the office 3 days a week; possibly more depending on projects
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment, with additional activities in development labs, manufacturing lines, and field locations such as customer sites. Work includes the use of Microsoft Office tools and data analysis software
- Expected travel: 25%
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5–10+ years of experience in product management, systems engineering, or technical program leadership
- Experience working with connected systems such as telematics, IoT, vehicle systems, or embedded technologies
- Strong understanding of system architecture, integration, and cross-functional development processes
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, software, hardware, and business teams
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills across multiple products or initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
What would be nice to have:
- Experience with wireless technologies (telematics, UWB, BLE, RFID, RTLS), including cloud platforms, data systems, or telematics portals
- Experience with product lifecycle management and roadmap planning
- Business case development and cost/benefit modeling
- Exposure to vehicle platforms, industrial equipment, or OEM environments
- Able to coordinate cross-functional resources/processes
- Familiarity with subscription-based products, service models, or connected ecosystems

The salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $164,000 annually. The specific salary for a successful candidate will depend upon, among other legitimate factors, education, training, and/or experience.
