We’re expanding and currently looking for a Confirmed Configuration Manager (m/f/d) to join and strengthen our team in Hamburg, Germany

In this role, you will manage and coordinate configuration and engineering change activities within a highly technical and complex aerospace environment.

As a key point of contact for configuration management, you will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, suppliers, and customers to ensure configuration consistency, traceability, and the efficient implementation of technical changes throughout the product lifecycle.

Your main tasks
  • Manage configuration management activities throughout the product lifecycle
  • Coordinate engineering changes from initiation through assessment, approval, implementation, and closure
  • Ensure the completeness, quality, consistency, and traceability of configuration and change documentation
  • Prepare and coordinate changes for Change Control Boards (CCB) and other decision-making forums
  • Consolidate technical, industrial, cost, planning, and customer inputs related to engineering changes
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders including engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, suppliers, and customers
  • Monitor modification status, configuration baselines, applicability, and associated technical documentation
  • Support aircraft modification, customization, production, and delivery configuration activities
  • Identify configuration risks, inconsistencies, and dependencies and drive corrective actions
  • Monitor performance through relevant KPIs such as On-Time Delivery, Right First Time, quality, backlog, and efficiency
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of configuration and change-management processes

Requirements
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience in configuration management, change management, engineering, or a comparable aerospace environment
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar
  • Proficient with ICCACP and Google Workspace
  • Knowledge of the Airbus Single Aisle (SA) / A320 Family is required, as the role supports projects directly related to these aircraft programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Configuration Management and Engineering Change Management processes
  • Experience working with complex technical products and multidisciplinary engineering environments
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle, technical documentation, configuration baselines, and modification management
  • High level of autonomy and ability to independently steer complex configuration topics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Process-oriented mindset with the ability to follow established processes while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Strong stakeholder-management and coordination skills
  • Experience in airframe configuration management
  • Experience with aircraft modifications and customization
  • Experience with Change Control Boards
  • Experience with modification implementation and closure processes
  • Experience with PLM, PDM, configuration-management tools, or configuration databases
  • Experience within Airbus or comparable commercial aircraft programs
  • Experience coordinating engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customer stakeholders
  • Experience with KPI monitoring, risk management, workload planning, and performance reporting
  • English required, German a plus
