What You Will You Do
As a Configuration Specialist, you'll help maintain the integrity of engineering and technical data throughout the lifecycle of our projects. You'll coordinate document and configuration changes, manage engineering records, support change control processes, verify technical documentation for accuracy and compliance, and collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and project teams to ensure configuration information remains complete, accurate, and traceable. Your work will help ensure our facilities, systems, and documentation stay aligned while supporting safe, reliable, and compliant operations.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, Information Management, or a related technical field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Experience supporting configuration management, document control, engineering records, or technical data management
- Knowledge of configuration management principles and change control processes
- Experience working with engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and technical documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic document management systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance
A Successful Candidate Brings:
- Experience in the nuclear, energy, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with engineering change management systems and configuration management software
- Experience with document management systems such as SharePoint, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of DOE, NRC, ISO 9001, ASME NQA-1, or other quality assurance standards
- Experience supporting engineering design, project execution, or facility modifications
- Continuous improvement mindset with experience identifying opportunities to streamline processes
- Currently holding an active Q-level security clearance
Pay:
Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $76,010 - $126,683. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance. Candidates for positions requiring a security clearance are required to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 prior to an offer of employment being made. In addition, once employe, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
