Looking for a strong candidate whose technical skills stretch beyond the typical configuration management role to include an understanding of PKI certificates, GitLab administration, and DevOps. This person must be highly organized and work heavily within JIRA/Confluence/GitLab to provide awareness, status updates, create tickets, and handle some administration of systems. A stand-out Configuration Manager/Tech Writer will leverage strong written communication skills, demonstrating clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation across multiple subject matters. Location: This position supports our prime contract in Annapolis Junction, MD
Position responsibilities:
- Responsible for configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systems
- Support development team through GitLab/Confluence/Jira administration and organization
- Work on developmental and operational teams to create and maintain configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.) supporting developmental and operational systems
- Perform DevOps related tasks as needed to support the team, program, and Mission
- Demonstrate understanding of PKI certs code base in order to perform CM in GitLab
- Use or recommend automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures
- Develop or modify CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system
- Prepare and maintain operations documentation, user guides and manuals, and technical publications
- Manage documentation related to SSPs and re-authorizations
- Implement CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-life
- Responsible for supporting Outage Management efforts
- Perform change control and configuration audits
What you'll need:
- A TS/SCI with Polygraph level Clearance is required to support this effort
- Two (2) years experience as a configuration manager or agilist in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
- Strong experience with and understanding of JIRA/Confluence/GitLab, including administration of these systems
- Understanding of PKI certs
- DevOps knowledge
- Experience creating, maintaining, organizing, and presenting technical documentation of various types across different subject matters
- Associate’s degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university is required
- Two (2) years of additional related experience may be substituted for an Associate’s degree
