KBR has a dynamic opportunity for professional growth! We are looking for a Configuration Management Specialist to act as US National Data Center (US NDC) Change Request (CR) Manager and perform general duties related to the CR management function at the Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC), located on Patrick AFB, FL.

***Must be a US Citizen***

***Must have a fully adjudicated (not an interim) Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility***

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and track all US NDC CR actions using the Configuration Manager (CM) tool (IBM® Rational® Team Concert (RTC)), researching and reviewing all new CRs for completeness, relevance, professionalism, checking for redundancy, entering data into RTC, and providing RTC support and training to developers.
  • Provide security reviews of software codes that are related to software changes requiring transfer from Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) to Non-secure Internet Protocol (IP) Router Network (NIPRNet).
  • Validate CR statistical data for quarterly USNDC Program Management Reviews (PMRs).
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations to the US NDC modernization team.
  • Perform US NDC Configuration Management Board (CMB) manager duties when the primary CMB manager is not available.
  • Participate in the Configuration Management Board Meetings.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree, with a major relevant to skills requirements (Computer Science, Database Management, Information Technology, other).
  • Working knowledge and familiarity with mature configuration management practices and procedures.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience performing tasks like those above
  • IBM® Rational® Solution for Lifecycle Management (CLM) Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System Next Generation (DNG), Rational Team Concert (RTC), Rational® Requirements Composer (RRC), and the Requirements Management (RQM).
  • Knowledge of Atlassian (Jira, Confluence).
  • Adobe Dreamweaver.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Word.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to communicate with customers.
  • Experience working within a government Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
  • Experience deriving and marking classified documents according to the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM) and AFTAC Security Classification Guides.
