The Product Structure Engineer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and governing Master Bills of Materials (BOMs) and overall product structures across engineering and manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Structure Engineer will be responsible for Creating and maintaining Master BOMs / Product Structure which includes Review and Authorize Engineering changes
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning) to implement and control changes to Master BOMs.
Possess a strong understanding of Engineering BOM (EBOM), Manufacturing BOM (MBOM), and Master BOM concepts, including their relationships and downstream impact.
Manage and support the Engineering Change process, including assessment, implementation, and evaluation of change impacts on Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
Generate and maintain Assembly BOMs in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent platforms.
Demonstrate working knowledge of MRP, Work Orders / Job Orders, and assembly shop floor planning processes.
Review, maintain, control, and release Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in accordance with company procedures.
Maintain Master Engineering Documentation, including engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and related documents supporting product development and production.
Test and validate new or enhanced functionality within PDM, ERP, and other Engineering systems to ensure no disruption to day‑to‑day Engineering and Configuration Management activities.
Ensure compliance with documentation standards, change control procedures, and data integrity requirements.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills with a proactive learning attitude.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Experience with Teamcenter (TcE) and UG NX will be an added advantage.
Qualifications & Experience:
BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
5–7 years of experience in a Production Planning, Manufacturing, or Engineering environment, with exposure to BOM management and ERP systems.
