Quanex is looking for a Configuration Engineer to join our team located in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
In this role, you will partner with the order entry team to process configurations for both internal and external sales orders while meeting the processing needs of manufacturing.

What Success Looks Like:
- Assist with the processing of sales orders on a daily basis.
- Design new configuration rules and rule sets as new product lines are introduced.
- Work with operations to establish groups, families, routing, bill of materials, and other manufacturing requirements for all products, including samples.
- Design adaptations and enhancements to the current system to drive a more efficient and functional use of the tools.
- Provide assistance and fix any errors or problems related to the configuration or manufacture of the parts on the system as they are found.
- Develop procedures and documentation or the system that will direct new and existing users on the use of the different configuration and manufacturing areas of the system.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or 1-2 years of equivalent work experience, required.
- Expert in Microsoft Excel, required.
- AutoCAD or similar software experience, preferred.
- Experience with AI, computer coding/VBA-Python-C++, and 3D Printing, preferred.
- Project Management experience, preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing while working with Building of Materials (BOM’s), Inventory, Routings, etc.
- Ability to perform detailed work that requires high levels of concentration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The hourly wage is $31.25 - $36.05 per hour, pay based on experience.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:30pm department coverage, with flexibility, 8-9 hours worked daily (hours will be discussed during interview)
