The Role

Description

We are looking to expand our team with a Configuration Analyst based in India. Reporting to the Senior Configuration Analyst for the region, this client-facing role will focus on analysing requirements, documentation, design, and configuration of the INSTANDA platform to meet our clients’ needs.

While prior experience with the INSTANDA platform is not required, exposure to the insurance industry is highly advantageous. We are seeking a smart and technically savvy individual with strong time management skills. It is imperative that the candidate possesses excellent communication and analytical abilities and is a collaborative team player dedicated to delivering effective solutions for our clients.

Our clients often encounter technological and resource constraints, leading to lengthy and costly launches of new insurance products and offerings. However, with INSTANDA, insurers can build their products, establish distribution networks, test, and launch their offerings in unprecedented timescales—all without writing a single line of code. The individual in this role will ensure our customers can successfully and effortlessly achieve these goals and more.

This role is remote based in India, with occasional travel to collaborate in person with colleagues in India.

In addition to core job requirements, we ask that you:

  • Have a high level of proficiency in English
  • Can work a schedule that generally overlaps with a typical UK work day (9am to 5:30pm GMT)

What you'll do:

  • Configure and deliver insurance products for distribution on the INSTANDA platform (training provided; no complex coding required).
  • Offer pre-sales support with preparing prospect demos and workshops if required.
  • Support design and discovery workshops with clients and stakeholders to understand business requirements and align with platform capabilities.
  • Assist in configuring proof-of-concept demonstrations during the elaboration phase to showcase potential solutions.
  • Effectively capture, comprehend, define, and document business requirements.
  • Support client delivery and engineering teams on the design and understanding of new functionalities, including third-party integrations for data enrichment and reporting.
  • Support the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process for INSTANDA configurations and new functionalities.
  • Support training initiatives for clients and users on our SaaS product to ensure successful handover of configurations to the business.
  • Adopt a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
  • Potential for travel to client destinations during design and discovery phases, as well as during UAT and go-live activities, when required by the client.
Requirements

Essential:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Configuration Analyst or at least 2 years as a Business or Systems Analyst.
  • Experience in a client-facing role, ideally within an IT delivery capacity.
  • Experience working with insurance clients is crucial for success in this role - we are open to various areas of specialization.
  • Proven experience with SaaS-based products preferably within the insurance or financial industry.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, with extensive experience in formulas, lookups, and various functionalities (excluding VBA).
  • Conceptual understanding of third-party integrations, particularly focused on RESTful services.
  • Conceptual understanding of UI/UX design principles, including a basic understanding of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Proven ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to be organized and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proven ability to understand business requirements that capture clients’ key criteria and align them with commercial and technical considerations, which is essential for success.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts in clear, everyday language.
  • Our business demands a consultative approach and strong listening skills. We highly value your soft skills and a client-focused mindset.

Desirable

  • A degree in Mathematics, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is considered an asset but is essential if there is no work experience within related fields.
  • Involvement in Insurance Ratings or Insurance integrations would be advantageous
  • Exposure to or experience with wireframing or mockups
  • Experience with insurance product design, e-trading, or Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) guidelines.
  • Stakeholder management or workshop facilitation experience.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary package
  • Generous 28 vacation days, plus bank holidays.
  • One Dynamic Day per month on top of your holiday allowance to spend time doing the things you want to do or simply catching up with life admin.
  • All employees are included in the company discretionary bonus scheme.
  • Annual individual learning & development allowance
  • Free access to LinkedIn learning and Microsoft ESI learning platforms
