What you'll do:
- Develop the onboard perception stack, fusing camera, lidar, and radar data for object detection, tracking, and precision landing capabilities
- Design and implement deep-learning and classical computer vision algorithms for real-time, embedded deployment
- Perform sensor calibration and multi-sensor fusion across camera, lidar, and radar
- Optimize perception algorithms for real-time performance on embedded compute
- Analyze test data to characterize and improve perception performance
- Collaborate with navigation, controls, and hardware teams to integrate perception outputs into the broader system
What you need:
- Strong background in computer vision and/or machine learning, with a degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in C++ and Python
- Experience with deep-learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorRT) and classical CV (OpenCV)
- Experience processing lidar and/or radar point-cloud data
- Experience with sensor calibration and multi-sensor fusion
- Demonstrated ability to take algorithms from concept through real-time, embedded deployment
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience deploying perception models on NVIDIA Jetson / CUDA-based embedded platforms
- Experience with precision or automated landing systems
- Background in subscale aircraft, robotics, or vehicle perception
