Primary Responsibilities
As a Computer Systems & Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the capability, quality, and reliability of our delivered products. You will work closely with our systems engineering, software engineering, hardware engineering, and quality assurance teams in the design, build, and test spacecraft payloads. Duties will include:
- Determine IT environment and system requirements and establish standardized approaches for server, workstation, and network configurations/software. Independently plan rollouts, implementations, and maintenance of systems.
- Manage system/server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.
- Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure systems and network devices to comply with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, network switches, etc. to include system upgrades.
- Update servers, clients, applications, antivirus updates, maintain Active Directory, DNS, apply security patches, Continuous Monitoring logging, SCAP, etc.
- Verify application software/network/system security postures are implemented as stated, document deviations, and recommend required actions to correct those deviations.
- Independently identify relevant technologies/topics and learn new technical skills.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited university and 4+ years of experience in Systems Administration; or 10 years of Systems Administration experience without a degree.
- Experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Bash), and PowerShell.
- Proficient in using version control systems (e.g., git) to manage source code in a defined branching structure.
- Extensive experience with Windows, UNIX, and/or Linux; experience with Windows systems and user management via Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN.
- Familiarity with configuring and deploying CISCO routers and switches.
- Experience maintaining and operating virtual environments for servers and workstations.
- Experience configuring, administering, and maintaining patch deployment and management systems and providing patch management status reporting to management.
- Experience configuring, monitoring, maintaining, and administering computer backup and recovery solutions and providing recovery status reporting to management.
- Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
- Provide recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinate installation, and provide backup recovery.
- Working knowledge of Agile Principles and the Scrum framework.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams and report on progress and results.
- U.S Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently hold computing environment training/certification (COMPTia Network+ , Security+, and Windows cert).
- Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) knowledge.
- Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) training certification.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- Understanding of software quality assurance best practices and the ability to contribute to the improvement of software processes.
- Proficiency in languages such as Java, C, and C++ with the ability to write, maintain, and troubleshoot code.
- Experience designing and implementing infrastructure as code solutions (Ansible/Chef/Puppet, Argo, Flux, Vagrant).
- Have or are willing to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Pay Range:Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
