JT4 provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. We develop and maintain realistic integrated test and training environments, and prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
What You Will Do with JT4
This programming position is for the Telemetry Network Standards(TMNS) development team. This programmer will assist with automated testing, crafting cutting test cases, and transforming telemetry into bi-directional communication links for our flight test network infrastructure.
Job Functions & Duties
- Basic understanding of Linux, SHELL scripting, and automating routine tasks
- Ability to use programing languages C, C#, C++
- Understanding of GITLAB to include merge requesting and branch structures
- Knowledge of Win32, Windows API, specifically for creating graphical user interfaces
- TCP/UDP network programming knowledge for developing applications that communicate over networks
- Makefile basic concept understanding for automating the build process of software projects
- Understanding of software development lifecycle
- Designs and writes basic to moderately complex computer programs
- Prepares flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate a sequence of steps that a program must follow and to describe logical operations involved
- Monitors performance of programs after implementation
- Assists in analysis, review, and alterations to programs to increase operating efficiency or to adapt to new requirements
- Prepares documentation to describe programs development, logic, coding, and corrections
- Assists in developing user manuals to describe installation and operating procedures
- Performs related work, as required

WORKING CONDITIONS - Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness.
REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's degree in Computer Programming; or equivalent technical training from an accredited academic institution, completion of a recognized certification program, or equivalent experience and demonstrated skills, knowledge, and technical competence in computer programming. Possess three years of additional related experience. Must have demonstrated proficiency with required computer languages and have a basic to good understanding of computer systems including networks, servers, and personal computers
In addition, a Programmer II must possess the following qualifications:
- Must possess some planning and organizing skills and demonstrate the ability to work under Must possess verbal and written communication skills sufficient to permit interaction with other employees as well as taking work direction from senior unit personnel
- Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance
- Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license
- Must be a U.S. citizen.

The expected pay range for this position is $83,000 to $100,000 annually
The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. JT4 LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
