This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

   

We are seeking a high-impact Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead our strategic growth initiatives in the rapidly evolving AI and compute markets. This role is responsible for identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and accelerating our reach and relevance in Finland and Baltics. The ideal candidate will possess strong local market knowledge, fluency in the local language, and proven sales and business development expertise in the compute sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development and execution of a comprehensive business development strategy focused on AI and compute solutions.

  • Identify, initiate, and manage strategic partnerships and new business opportunities that will expand our market share by the end of FY25.

  • Represent the company at a senior level with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to influence business outcomes and position offerings.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, category, and technical) to shape value propositions and drive demand generation.

  • Develop territory-specific plans and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities that align with strategic goals.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in AI and compute trends, competitor activity, and local customer needs.

  • Provide local market insight and leadership that guides investment decisions and go-to-market priorities.

  • Support sales teams with deal structuring, pricing guidance, and strategic negotiation support.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • University or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 3–8 years of professional experience in business development, strategic sales, or partner management.

  • Deep knowledge of the compute and IT infrastructure market; AI domain expertise is highly desirable.

  • Proven track record in developing new business and managing complex sales cycles.

  • Strong understanding of the Finbal market and fluency in the local language.

  • Previous experience working in or with large global IT vendors or solution providers is a plus.

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to turn insights into executable go-to-market plans

  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills across functions and geographies.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with experience influencing C-level stakeholders.

  • Financial acumen and the ability to build business cases and ROI models.

  • Passion for innovation and a strong understanding of AI use cases and compute platform requirements.
