Hadrian — Manufacturing the Future
Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies make rockets, jets, and satellites 10x faster and 2x cheaper. Our CEO, Chris Power, discusses the importance of what we're building in this video.
We are a lean but mighty team (and growing!) people that are passionate about building critical infrastructure to support the nation and the advancement of humanity.
To support our ambitious vision, we have raised > $200M from Lux Capital, A16Z, Founders Fund, Construct Capital, Caffeinated Capital, and more.
Building Copilot
Copilot is our suite of CAD/CAM automation software that is responsible for automating Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis, CAM programming, and CMM programming. We work with some of the best operators in the world to identify high impact areas to automate and/or automate with software. Our team develops software, manufacturing processes, and machine controls and we integrate with a variety of machines and robotics systems. We are responsible for designing and implementing the solutions cradle to grave. Broadly, this can be any combination of full stack web engineering, applications engineering, computational geometry, and working with a number of engineering centric APIs (documented and undocumented).
This role will have a heavy technical focus on computational geometry, but we prefer and encourage engineers to help out wherever they are able to so that we can build the best products possible and have fun doing it.
In this role you will:
- Design, spec, and/or build software to automate highly technical parts of the precision manufacturing process: CAM programming, CMM programming, and DFM Analysis
- Core focus will be in computational geometry related algorithms and applications. You will have ample opportunity to help drive and design the products utilizing this technology
- Engage in product discovery alongside experts in manufacturing and software. Explore and understand the manufacturing technologies and how they are used to help make strategic tech decisions
- Monitor software performance, usage, and product feedback
- Create and maintain integrations with internal Hadrian systems and external engineering software
- Mentor engineers in computational geometry
Admired skills/background:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in CS, Math, and/or Physics
- Primary tools: C++, Open Cascade, CAD/CAM/CMM Software; Secondary tools: Python, TypeScript, C#, React, general web technologies
- 2+ years work experience is preferential but not necessary
- Experience with CAD/CAM software or CAD/CAM app development
- Experience in manufacturing, generative design, video games, graphics, 3d printing, robotics, or aerospace
- Working understanding of GD&T and/or mechanical design
- Experience with or loves to build great fullstack products
- Excited to learn new fields and concepts and teach others about your expertise
- Consider yourself a builder and have fun attacking and solving complicated problems
Compensation and Benefits
For this role, the target salary range is $165,000 - $235,000 (actual range may vary based on experience).
This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
In addition to salary and equity, we offer:
• 100% coverage of platinum medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees
• 401k
• Relocation stipend if you’re moving from outside of LA
• Flexible vacation policy
It is the policy of Hadrian Automation, Inc. to provide equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.
