Role Summary:
As a Compressor Seal Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing relationships with key customers and trade organizations. Your responsibilities include managing purchase agreements, fostering customer alliances, and staying ahead of market trends. By understanding Flowserve operations, you will enhance selling effectiveness and coordinate efforts with internal teams and third-party sales channels, focusing on Turbo Machinery products and services.
Responsibilities:

Drive bookings to meet or exceed assigned goals.

Maintain regular and planned communication with key customers.

Develop and implement marketing plans aligned with regional sales objectives.

Serve as the primary contact for customer dealings, addressing proposals, deliveries, repairs, quality, and warranty claims.

Educate customers on the quality, features, and applications of Flowserve products using available marketing materials.

Collaborate with application engineers, customer service, and manufacturing teams to meet customer needs.

Maintain organized records, including reports, quotes, status updates, and expense logs.

Demonstrate financial acumen by discussing business decisions, such as return on investment, to support solution-based selling.

Ensure effective communication and productive collaboration with team members.

Perform occasional physical activities, including walking large customer sites, lifting up to 50 lbs, and navigating multi-story facilities.

Requirements:

Sales experience with rotating equipment, such as pumps and mechanical seals.

Strong knowledge of the design and operational requirements of rotating pumps, mechanical seals, and related equipment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Excellent product demonstration, presentation, and business writing skills.

Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining effective communication.

Experience in conducting root cause failure analysis and effectively communicating findings.

Demonstrated ability to lead meetings, set agendas, and assign follow-up actions.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
-
Familiarity with the oil & gas, power, paper, and chemical industries, including API 617 and API 692 Standards.

Training in sales techniques, negotiations, and business finance.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Project management experience is a plus.
