Tasks and Qualifications:What You Will Do in This Role:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities and supplier portfolios.
- Evaluate market conditions, capacity, cost drivers, supplier risks, and opportunities for localization or consolidation.
- Lead RFQs, RFIs, sourcing events, commercial negotiations, contract support, and supplier selection recommendations.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships, business reviews, performance evaluations, and supplier development initiatives.
- Partner with Engineering, NPI, Manufacturing, Materials, Quality, and Operations on new products, engineering changes, and supplier transitions.
- Drive PPV improvements, annual cost savings, supplier performance, and sourcing milestones.
- Develop dual-source strategies, contingency plans, and supplier recovery actions for critical risks.
- Track category KPIs, savings, supplier OTD, quality, capacity readiness, and risk mitigation progress.
- Prepare executive reports and recommendations for Procurement leadership.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality requirements, ethical sourcing standards, and audit requirements.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to Strategic Buyers and Category Specialists.
- This role does not include direct personnel management responsibilities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Commodity Management.
- Experience managing multiple direct-material commodities in a global manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in supplier negotiations, cost analysis, category strategy, NPI, and supplier localization.
- Knowledge of supplier risk management, supplier quality, Lean, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems, Microsoft Office, Power BI, and KPI reporting.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
