Cardo Systems, the global market leader in the field of wireless communication systems for Motorcycle, Outdoor, and ORV helmets, is looking for an experienced Component and Certification Engineer to join our R&D team in China.
Job Summary:
We seek a detail-oriented and technically skilled individual to support our hardware and mechanical engineering teams by managing component data, documentation, and testing processes. This role involves working with engineering tools like Arena, Altium 3D CADs, supporting second-source evaluations, and assisting with certification activities.

- Reports to: Hardware Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize hardware and mechanical component data in Arena (datasheets, compliance info, descriptions, etc.).
- Manage and update electronic component libraries in Altium, including reviewing and creating symbols and footprints.
- Manage and update Mech component libraries in 3D CAD while working closely with the Mech team.
- Support engineering change processes (ECR/MCR) and ensure proper documentation in Arena.
- Collaborate with purchasing and engineering teams to identify and qualify alternative components for cost reduction.
- Perform lab testing and manage the approval process for second-source components.
- Assist in preparing materials for certification testing and support lab visits as needed.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering – must.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in component Engineering or EE R&D designs – must.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in certification process, material certifications (ROHS REACH) – must.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in RF testing methods – must.
- Proven experience working with Agile or Arena - must
- Hands-on experience with testing equipment – Scop, function generator, DVM, SA, SG, VNA – Must.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a mass production company with EVT, DVT, and PVT processes.
- Working experience with Mech Eng and 3D CAD designs.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
- Willingness to travel frequently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working with multinational organizations
