Job Description Overview:
Mastercard Payment Services Denmark is looking for a Compliance & Transaction Monitoring Specialist to join our 1st line Product Compliance Team. You will work closely with product and commercial teams in a business-oriented environment, gaining hands-on experience with real compliance cases in Live Markets DK. - a department responsible for payment services in Denmark and Norway, e.g. Betalingsservice.
Compliance is essential to how we operate. In this role, you will build practical experience across key regulatory areas such as AML/CTF, payment regulation, and GDPR, while developing a strong understanding of how compliance supports products and customers in practice.
Your detailed mindset and urge for new challenges and learnings will be key to your success in the role that offers a broad set of tasks within product compliance and transaction monitoring. You will be supported by experienced colleagues and gradually take on responsibility, including contributing to the development of our transaction monitoring framework and assisting with cross functional projects.
You must have experience with AML/CTF-regulation and data analysis and have a keen eye for details and quality. Experience within payments or other parts of the financial sector or similar will be an advantage.
You will report to the Director of the 1st line Product Compliance unit and be based with the Mastercard Payment Services Denmark Teams in the modern offices at Ørestaden, Copenhagen.
Role:
Support our compliance and transaction monitoring leads and their work with our compliance program, incl.:
- assisting with AML/CTF investigations, including analysis and documentation
- supporting various reporting to authorities
- providing compliance and process support to our Product, Sales and Customer Services teams, e.g. regarding KYC
- helping maintain and improve internal documentation, processes and procedures
- collaborating closely with team members and contributing to a strong team culture
About you - You have:
- a law/business focused degree or similar work experience, e.g. cand.merc.jur
- experience with AML/CTF and transaction monitoring - and interested in a role that goes beyond those areas
- experience with external reporting, e.g. to the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority
- experience with data collection and analysis
- a structured, detail-focused and analytical mind-set and the ability and interest in understanding the technical side of Mastercard's products
- good interpersonal skills with ability to work well in both team and individual settings and to share insights and learnings
- strong communicative skills in Danish as well as English, both orally and in writing. Fluent in Danish is essential.
- advanced IT-skills, e.g. with data analysis and pivots etc.
