JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Los Angeles office is seeking a senior practice support professional to join its Private Equity Sponsor Finance team. This role supports a Los Angeles-based team of partners, counsel, and associates as a core, client-facing member of the deal team on sophisticated financing transactions. The ideal candidate brings strong transactional execution skills, excellent judgment, and the experience and polish to work directly with the business and legal departments of top-tier private equity clients.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the day-to-day practice support lead for a sponsor finance team handling sophisticated private equity transactions.
Act as a client-facing point of contact, communicating directly with clients, opposing counsel, lenders, agents, and internal stakeholders with professionalism and responsiveness.
Manage end-to-end transaction execution, including:
New matter intake, including preparation of engagement letters and coordination of conflict checks.
Preparation and maintenance of closing checklists, tracking deliverables and conditions precedent, version control and keeping deal teams organized and on schedule throughout the transaction lifecycle and across multiple concurrent transactions.
Coordinating KYC, diligence, onboarding, and ancillary closing documentation, including corporate governing documents.
Conduct and review UCC, lien, judgment, tax lien, and litigation searches; prepare search result summaries and track filing deadlines; prepare and file UCC financing statements and amendments thereto.
Preparation and collection of signature pages, document execution tracking, and final document distribution.
Assist with administrative tasks including updating and keeping organized workspace documents, completing internal deal reporting, and development of knowledge management materials.
Managing certain deal workflows, including post-closing credit agreement obligation [covenant] reminders, [status keeping]/[tracking] and completion.
Support attorneys as a true member of the deal team, anticipating needs, driving follow-up, and contributing to efficient execution under tight deadlines.
Qualifications
10+ years with significant experience supporting corporate finance, leveraged finance, sponsor finance, private equity, or similar transactional practices in a major law firm or comparable environment.
Demonstrated experience with closing process management, including document management systems (preferably iManage), signature pages, closing checklists, final document distribution, and transaction coordination (cross-border experience is preferred).
Experience with KYC, diligence coordination, and client onboarding in financing transactions.
Knowledge of and experience with lien search mechanics and Article 9 of the UCC.
Experience working directly with sophisticated clients and other outside counsel.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple high-pressure matters at once.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and the polish to work directly with sophisticated clients and senior stakeholders.
A proactive, team-oriented approach and the ability to operate with ownership, discretion, and professionalism.
Comfort with using AI tools efficiently and responsibly to streamline administrative workflows, support document and process management, and enhance overall execution efficiency.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior transactional practice support professional seeking a highly visible, client-facing role within an elite sponsor finance practice.
The salary range for this role is $150,000 to $200,000 annually, which is based on a 37.5-hour work week. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Los Angeles. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs.
