Job Title: Compliance Specialist
Job Description: The Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing, tracking, and maintaining all employee and company licensing, certifications, and regulatory compliance requirements. This role ensures continuous compliance with state licensing laws, OSHA certification standards, and other company licensing requirements, reducing organizational risk and supporting operational readiness across all sites.
What You’ll Do:
- 50%: Manage the full lifecycle of employee state licenses and professional certifications, including applications, renewals, expirations, and audits using meticulousness attention to detail.
- 15%: Track licensing requirements by role and state to ensure employees remain compliant with regulatory standards.
- 15%: Coordinate with employees, supervisors, and external licensing bodies to obtain necessary documentation.
- 10%: Maintain accurate and up-to-date licensing records in compliance tracking system.
- 5%: Proactively notify employees and leadership of upcoming renewals or compliance gaps.
- 5%: Other duties as assigned.
- Working Hazards: Works in a seated position for extended periods of time.
- Physical/Mental Exertion: Ability to perform light physical work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a frequent basis, performing such activities as grasping, lifting, reaching, crouching, and repetitive tasks. Continuous attention to detail. Normal office environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Requires High School diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred.
- Experience: 1+ years of administrative work.
- Licenses/Certifications: none.
- Technical Abilities: Strong organizational and communications skills. Excelent record keeping skills. Ability to coordinate and interact with different levels of leadership. Basic Microsoft Office computer skills.
- Autonomy/Direction: Ability to accomplish the described duties through the use of appropriate computer and general office equipment. Ability and mastery of Microsoft Office suite Word, Excel, and Power Point. Good typing, computer and keyboarding skills. Works with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint.
