Job Description
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented and results-driven Regulatory Compliance Senior Specialist to join our UK team. This role will require you to take ownership of key regulatory reporting processes, manage critical incident communications, and maintain compliance documentation with precision. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring timely and well-organized regulatory correspondence, assisting with policy management, and contributing to the broader compliance function in meeting UK regulatory obligations.

Based in Tallinn, you will work with a growing team of experienced compliance specialists to help us build world-class products that are compliant with regulatory requirements. Your role will be within the UK Regulatory Compliance team which oversees our compliance with UK regulatory standards.
Your mission:
- Regulatory Reporting Documentation & Procedures: Draft, update, and maintain regulatory reporting guidance documents.
- Incident Management: Oversee SEV 1-2 incidents, including compiling and submitting incident reports to the UK regulator. Manage scheduling and calculations for the UK on-call rota.
- Policy Library Maintenance: Maintain UK policies and the UK requirements register within the Auditboard.
- Regulatory Correspondence: Coordinate day-to-day communications with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely responses to information requests and organizing meetings as required.
- Marketing Materials Review: Review low-risk marketing materials intended for the UK public to ensure compliance with regulatory standards before publication.
- Regulatory Meetings Coordination: Organize and coordinate monthly meetings with the FCA, including preparing notes and presentation slides.
- General Compliance Support: Assist Compliance Officers with various compliance-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have experience in compliance or legal, great communication and organisational skills, tons of motivation and positivity. More specifically, we’re looking for someone who can demonstrate they have these attributes:
- Theory. You have experience in regulatory compliance or a legal background. Experience in operations is a plus.
- Practice. You are a problem-solver. You take ownership of your work, anticipate challenges, and proactively find solutions with limited guidance. You have thought deeply about the Wise mission and how it intersects with compliance.
- Passion. You are motivated to improve current practices and processes. You have a solutions-focused mindset and enjoy working with diverse teams across different regions.
- Get the job done. You have a sense of urgency and an ability to work well under pressure, prioritising, taking responsibility and working to tight deadlines.
- Communication. You’re a strong relationship builder across all levels of the business and externally.
Additional Information
Salary: 2,700 - 3,500 € gross monthly + RSUs
