We’re just at the beginning of our story and we’re growing at an incredible pace. We won’t stop until anyone, anywhere can send, spend and receive money wherever they are, whatever they’re doing. There’s still heaps to do and we can’t do it alone.

Wise is looking for a capable and enthusiastic Compliance Senior Specialist to join our team in Tel Aviv, Israel. This role will be working alongside the second line compliance and will interact with several different stakeholders and statutory directors, providing support and second line advice and oversight to the growing Israeli operation.

  • Assertive communication of key regulatory changes and addressing them with business and support areas.

  • Monitoring and supporting preparation of responses to inquiries from regulators and internal and external audits.

  • Managing key Compliance content repositories (policies, local board of Directors, etc.) and ensuring their completeness.

  • Supporting the Compliance team in conducting regulatory tests, identifying gaps, and proposing possible solutions and/or action plans.

  • Assisting business areas by providing regulatory advice on products and procedures.

  • Prevention and detection of inconsistencies that may result in regulatory gaps.

  • Evaluation of new products and services from a regulatory perspective.

  • Recording and monitoring of action plans for compliance with regulatory requirements and deadlines.

  • Collaborating with local Wise teams in addressing global requirements, processes, and procedures.

  • Assisting Wise areas and teams in the development of policies and other regulatory reports.

  • Assist in building a robust compliance program aligned with the new regulatory framework and new Payment Services Law.

  • Support and monitor regulatory reporting to the FIU.

This role would be great for someone who has:

  • Theory. You understand and have previous work experience with regulations issued by the Israel Securities Authority and the Capital Market Insurance and Savings Authority in Israel. You may be currently working or have worked within the area of regulatory compliance preferably in a fast paced environment.

  • Get the job done. You have a sense of urgency and an ability to work well under pressure, prioritising, taking responsibility and working to tight deadlines.

  • Detail. You have meticulous attention to detail and are able to demonstrate your organisational skills daily, managing several projects at the same time and ensuring completeness to our routines and processes.

  • Team player. You have great people skills and can effectively and efficiently collaborate, build relationships with colleagues throughout the business and across the globe.

  • Travel. You must be willing to travel to our other offices as required.
