As a Compliance Risk Officer - Senior Associate on the Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) team,you will be support New Business Initiative Approval (NBIA) activities for the CCB GFCC Advisory Team. Additionally, you will assist the CCB GFCC Advisory Team with the functional reviewer challenges and applicability of AML and Sanctions Risks and Controls. Our GFCC organization is responsible for developing and implementing the requirements and standards for the Firm's Enterprise-Wide Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and Sanctions programs. The primary objective of GFCC Advisory for Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) is to provide meaningful guidance to various lines of business within CCB as it relates to internal GFCC policies and standards, as well as promote industry best practices and maintain oversight of the LOB's execution.
Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the inventory of Initiatives and work with GFCC Advisory partners, Legal, Risk, Compliance and Controls (LRCC) partners to assess controls and processes and identify areas of potential AML and Sanctions Risk within the PSCM, SPAA and NBIA process
  • Collaborate with GFCC Advisors, Line of Business Leads, CCOR Compliance, Risk, Legal Partners, Control Leads within the PSCM, SPAA and NBIA related activities as needed
  • Work collaboratively with team members across LOBs and participate actively in working groups to help identify potential concerns and control issues
  • Execute on key strategic Compliance initiatives within the context of the firm's global compliance mandate
  • Conduct an AML and/or Sanctions assessment on a monthly basis of the NBIA's submitted for approval
  • Analyze how technology dependencies, product and experience Risks affect the overall GFCC compliance framework to identify potential concerns and discuss findings with management
  • Serve as a subject matter expert of the NBIA Standards and Procedures, KYC Standards, AML Policy and Sanctions Standards to help the functional reviewing team determine controls needed to mitigate risks of potential new products and services
  • Assist management in the annual BSA AML and Sanctions Risk Assessment, Quarterly Operational Risk Summaries and other projects supporting the CCB GFCC Horizontal Team, as needed
  • Execute on key strategic Compliance initiatives within the context of the firm's global compliance mandate


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant Risk and/or Compliance related experience or other related experience such as risk management, audit or similar control-related experience
  • Strong knowledge of BSA AML/KYC/Sanctions regulatory requirements and/or industry best practices
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written; ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, owning the issues and having the determination to follow tasks with minimal supervision
  • Motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment; work independently as well as part of a team
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams and PowerPoint)


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous experience in financial crimes
  • CAMS designation
  • Technology, Controls, Audit, Regulatory and/or Testing experience
  • Knowledge of JPMC's Global AML Policies and Standards
  • Experience in CORE
