We’re looking for a Compliance Testing Analyst to join our Central Compliance team at MBPS. In this role, you will directly report to the Team Lead/Assistant Manager of Testing. The Senior Analyst will support testing, monitoring, and quality assurance tasks in Canada.
Position Responsibilities:
Demonstrated experience in testing activities (e.g., compliance testing, controls testing, QA, or audit-related testing).
Solid understanding of what internal controls are, including their purpose, design, and how they mitigate risk.
Ability to review processes, identify control gaps or issues, and assess compliance with established requirements.
Experience in drafting clear, concise, and well‑structured testing reports, including documenting observations, conclusions, and supporting rationale.
Strong attention to detail when reviewing documentation and evidence to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with disciplined and ethical work practices
Able to work independently with minimal supervision while delivering accurate, timely, and cost‑effective results
Effective written and verbal communicator who adapts messaging to different audiences and levels
Builds strong internal and cross‑functional relationships; represents the department professionally
Knowledge of the financial services industry with foundational understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
Performs technical and data‑driven analysis to support decisions
Applies policies, procedures, and regulations to assess business impacts and guide work methods
Customer‑centric mindset focused on service excellence, stakeholder needs, and end‑user experience
Demonstrates strong business acumen by understanding business functions, challenges, and value propositions
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3 years in Compliance, testing, banking, internal or external audit background or any related financial services experience.
Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks, excellent English proficiency in writing and communication, and adept in report writing. Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, and ethical decision-making abilities, with proficiency in MS Office and adaptability to new compliance systems.
College/University Degree and/or equivalent experience in Accounting, Legal, Finance, Business or related fields
Relevant certifications (e.g. CPA etc.) is an advantage.
