About the Opportunity:
A Compliance operations role is responsible for helping to ensure BTSE proactively mitigates financial crime risk. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Customer Support with a dotted line into the Head of Compliance and play a key role in developing and maturing the program.
Responsibilities:
- Customer due diligence, enhanced and specialized due diligence
- Monitoring, identification, and preparation regarding reporting of unusual and suspicious activity
- Conducting periodic holistic reviews of higher-risk individuals or entities
- KYC exceptions checking and documentation review
- KYB onboarding and documentation review
- Transaction monitoring alert review and dispositioning
- Name screening alert review and dispositioning
- RFI management
- QA and testing of compliance operations processes
Requirement:
- 3+ years in an AML advisory or operational role in a financial institution
- Ability to execute on a defined list of high priority operational tasks and escalate as necessary
- Proficient in written and spoken English
Nice to haves:
- Compliance qualification (e.g. ICA Diploma / ACAMS)
- Exposure to blockchain transaction analytics monitoring
- Experience in name screening dispositioning or investigations
- Understanding of digital assets / crypto trading platforms
- Mandarin proficiency
