Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our team in Yennora, NSW. In this role, you will oversee and manage all compliance and risk management activities across our Sydney Landside Logistics operations. You will ensure transport operations comply with legal, safety, and internal policy requirements while identifying and addressing any compliance gaps. The role plays a key part in supporting operational excellence by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. This is a permanent full-time position, working onsite Monday to Friday on the day shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure fleet and transport operations comply with transport laws, NHVR/HVNL regulations, and Chain of Responsibility obligations
Manage vehicle accreditations, permits, maintenance schedules, licences, and compliance documentation
Investigate and resolve compliance breaches, incidents, and non-conformance issues.
Maintain accurate compliance records, reports, and system data
Coordinate and support onboarding, ongoing compliance, and training for employees and subcontractors
Liaise with internal teams, offshore support, and external regulators, and analyse fleet performance data to drive continuous improvement in safety and compliance
Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:
5+ year’s experience within transport compliance
In-depth knowledge of Australian transport regulations, including NHVR, HVNL, CoR, Mass Management, Load Restraint, and Maintenance Management
Experience with transport management systems and compliance systems, such as Containerchain, Gearbox, TN360, Guardian & MT Data
High attention to detail, integrity, and objectivity in all work
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present findings clearly
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and engaging stakeholders at all levels
