How do we work?

Hi Compliance Experts!

As part of our global Compliance Team, you will play a key role in executing and strengthening our Compliance Monitoring Programme - ensuring our internal controls stay robust, effective, and fully audit-ready. Working closely with the Head of Compliance, you will continuously evaluate and elevate our risk management framework. While you’ll be collaborating with colleagues worldwide, your primary focus will be supporting the team dedicated to UK regulatory requirements.

We work in a hybrid model - we'd love to meet you in the office 2 times a week with respect to your own commitments.

In this role, you will:

  • Execute end-to-end compliance reviews across all business functions, evaluating internal controls aligned with UK regulatory standards related to Clients, employee, senior management, technology, financial crime, and regulatory reporting risks.

  • Draft clear, comprehensive monitoring reports and present findings to the Head of Compliance, highlighting key risk areas and actionable recommendations.

  • Design, review, and refine compliance monitoring policies, testing procedures, and review frameworks to maintain high standards of governance.

  • Identify control deficiencies and collaborate with operational teams to develop and execute practical, timely remediation plans that strengthen processes.

  • Maintain an in-depth, up-to-date working knowledge of UK regulatory rules to provide pragmatic advice and guidance across internal departments.

  • Act as a compliance champion, embedding a strong regulatory mindset and risk-aware culture across all levels of the organization.

What skillset do you need to be successful in this role?

  • Previous experience in a Generalist Compliance / Compliance Monitoring area or similar.

  • Good understanding of UK Compliance - FCA rules, handbooks, and the broader regulatory environment.

  • Fluent English.

  • Strong analytical ability with the attention to detail, capable of identifying root causes and systemic control weaknesses.

  • Good communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to write concise reports and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience within the Financial industry or within the FX / CFD sector.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.

  • Relevant professional compliance certifications e.g., ICA or CISI.

Your perspective matters. We encourage you to apply even if you are hesitant about meeting every single qualification. We are excited to see what you can bring to the team!

What We Do

Everyone at OANDA is focused on our vision to transform how our customers can meet all their currency needs. From our roots in 1996 that provided free currency exchange information to launching a multi-award winning global FX and CFD trading business to our recent new venture of money transfer. OANDA is now a major global player. Innovation has been at the heart of everything we do and our approach is to pioneer intuitive, user-friendly products supported by our great customer service ethos. We’ve come a long way since our first data feed went live in 1996, and we still have so much more that we want to achieve. Substantial funding has facilitated our exceptional growth. In 2007 we received $100M USD in Series B funding and in 2018 were acquired by CVC Capital Partners Asia Fund IV. For more information, please visit oanda.com.
