About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced and highly organized Compliance Manager to directly oversee and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of compliance issues, from identification through closure. This individual will serve as a central coordinator across multiple business units and will lead productive discussions, ensure timely remediation of issues, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and bank partners (where required). They will also lead a small team of analysts and associates who are tasked with the execution of various tasks to coordinate, track, document, report, and move issues forward to closure. The ideal candidate has strong project management experience in a fintech and/or highly regulated environment, is detail-oriented, and can drive accountability across all levels of the company. This is a hybrid role in our San Francisco office in a hybrid capacity, specifically on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

  • Lead a small team who is responsible for gathering information, scheduling calls, assigning tasks, tracking remediation steps, documenting progress, and sending reports to various stakeholders. Delegate specific tasks and responsibilities to the team in order to ensure successful completion of these duties.
  • Serve as the central project manager throughout the lifecycle of each compliance issue, coordinating across business units to ensure timely execution of remediation plans and accountability for deliverables.
  • Maintain day-to-day oversight of issue status and progress, escalating as appropriate to senior leadership.
  • Cultivate relationships with bank partners and internal teams such as Operations, Legal, Product, Investor, People Ops and Technology.
  • Document issue lifecycle activity clearly and comprehensively, ensuring audit-readiness.

What We Look For:

  • 6+ years of risk management, compliance, or audit experience.
  • 3+ years of people management experience.
  • Prior experience in a project management role within a fintech and/or highly regulated environment, with strong organizational skills to track, manage, and oversee closure of multiple issues simultaneously.

What We Offer You:

  • Competitive salary and stock option plan
  • 100% paid coverage of medical, dental and vision insurance
