Your team

This role is part of our Compliance Team, at IG compliance is a business enabling function, we partner with the business to fuel sustainable growth at IG.

Your role in the Team’s Success

Your primary responsibility will be to lead our compliance team in Europe, building upon our excellent trading record, as we move into the crypto and investments space.

What you’ll do

• Responsible for Compliance policies and procedures, creation and updates
• Ensuring compliance with MiCAR and MaRisk/MaComp and equivalent regulatory requirements for Investment Firms in Europe
• Conducting process improvements and deep dives to meet growing regulatory expectations and commercial iniatives
• Project lead for Compliance to support the further expansion of Investment and Crypto products and services on EU Level
• Establish controls and oversight of outsourcing arrangements
• Review and submit reports for suspicious transactions to the regulators and authorities
• Maintain a legal watch, drive implementation of projects and initiatives
• Supporting internal and external audits
• Support the Compliance Risk Assessments and Compliance Monitoring activities
• Board reporting and MI
• Responsible for correspondence with regulators
• Have oversight about client complaints incl. related procedure and reporting
• Report regularly on money laundering and compliance matters to the Head of Risk & Compliance respectively Board, Group where relevant
• Working on ideas for business development and providing advice and support from a compliance perspective.

Key Qualification Requirements:

• At least 5 years of compliance experience in Capital Markets Service License environment, with preference for dealing with retail investors.
• A well-developed knowledge of MiCAR, MaRisk/MaComp and other applicable regulations.
• In-depth understanding of securities, collective investment schemes and OTC derivatives regulations. Knowledge of crypto and investment world.
• Strong policy writing skills and commercial experience.
• Proactive and self-driven individual who is able to effectively communicate, negotiate and influence others.
• Able to work independently and make sound, well thought out business decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly analytical with strong problem-solving abilities.
