About Gymreapers

Gymreapers is a fast-growing fitness accessories and apparel brand built for athletes who take their training seriously. We develop, source, manufacture, import, and sell products across DTC, Amazon, wholesale, and international markets. As the business scales, we're building the infrastructure to match. This role is part of that build.

The Role

We're looking for a Compliance Lead to own our product compliance and regulatory compliance programs end to end. This is a newly defined function, which means you'll be building processes, systems, and standards from the ground up, not inheriting someone else's playbook.

You'll be the primary owner of compliance strategy across all product categories and markets, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the European Union, and the U.K. You'll work directly with Product Development, Sourcing, Supply Planning, Quality, Finance, and external legal advisors to make sure every product we sell meets applicable regulatory, retailer, and market-specific requirements before it hits the market.

This role is based on-site in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico.

What You'll Own

  • Developing and maintaining compliance programs across all product categories and markets
  • Managing CPSC compliance, CPC documentation, and eFiling requirements
  • Building and running product testing programs with third-party laboratories
  • Managing certifications, registrations, and technical documentation across all channels and markets
  • Owning retailer compliance programs and serving as the primary contact for retailer compliance requirements
  • Monitoring regulatory changes across all markets and translating their impact into business action
  • Conducting risk assessments and building mitigation plans before issues reach the business
  • Supporting supplier qualification and ongoing compliance performance monitoring
  • Building scalable compliance processes that hold up as we grow

What We're Looking For

5+ years of experience in product compliance, regulatory compliance, product safety, or a closely related field. You know how to manage testing programs, maintain certification databases, and work across functions without losing the thread.

Specific experience with CPSC regulations, TSCA, PFAS, flame retardant requirements, or retailer compliance programs is a strong plus. So is experience in consumer products, sporting goods, apparel, or a manufacturing environment.

You should be someone who reads a regulatory update and immediately thinks about what it means for the business, not someone who waits for someone else to flag it first.

Traits That Fit Here

We operate with Extreme Ownership as a core value. That means this role isn't for someone who escalates first and acts second. You'll have autonomy, but it comes with accountability. You identify the risk, build the solution, and drive it to completion.

Beyond that, we're looking for someone who is detail-oriented and highly organized, analytically sharp, a clear communicator across functions and seniority levels, and genuinely motivated by building something that didn't fully exist before.

Skills Required

  • 5+ years experience in product compliance, regulatory compliance, or product safety
  • Experience managing product testing programs with third-party laboratories
  • Experience maintaining certification/technical documentation databases and registrations
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Product Development, Sourcing, Quality, Finance, and legal advisors
  • Based on-site in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico
  • Specific experience with CPSC regulations, TSCA, PFAS, flame retardant requirements, or retailer compliance programs
  • Experience in consumer products, sporting goods, apparel, or manufacturing environment
