WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

As our Lead Compliance Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping, leading, and continuously enhancing SimCorp’s global Compliance Framework. You will act as a trusted advisor to the business, working closely with stakeholders across Business Functions, Group Compliance, and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance risks are identified, managed, and embedded into day-to-day operations in a pragmatic manner. This role goes beyond execution—you will drive key initiatives, influence decision-making, and support AI & IT Compliance topics, while also support colleagues and contribute to the strategic direction of the Compliance function. The role offers strong autonomy and the opportunity to further develop the compliance agenda based on your expertise and interests.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Lead and oversee AI & IT compliance risk assessments across business functions, jurisdictions, and regulatory landscapes, ensuring risks are clearly identified, assessed, and prioritized
  • Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the AI and IT Compliance framework in close collaboration with other members of the team working with AI and IT Compliance.
  • Act as a point of contact and subject matter consultant, providing guidance and sound advice to stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
  • Oversee and evaluate the effectiveness of compliance activities, controls, and monitoring processes across the organization.
  • Ensure high-quality documentation, structure and governance, including accurate maintenance of compliance records, logs, and evidence.
  • Support compliance reporting, including planned and ad-hoc reports for management, internal committees, and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and follow up on completion of risk mitigating measures and other priorities in AI Compliance.
  • Maintain and further develop repositories of applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, and provide broad legal and compliance guidance to ensure their effective interpretation and application across the organization.
  • Support audits, investigations, assessments, due diligences and compliance cases, balancing regulatory expectations with practical business needs.
  • Provide coaching and informal leadership to colleagues and contribute to a strong compliance culture across the organization and region.

WHAT WE VALUE

  • A degree in law, business law, IT law, auditing, risk management, or a related field
  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in compliance, risk, or regulatory roles within a global or complex global organization
  • Experience as in-house counsel or in a regulated financial environment is a preference
  • Solid experience with key compliance topics such as Artificial Intelligence, IT Compliance, Segregation of Duties, Regulatory Conduct, and related areas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them pragmatically
  • Advanced English communication skills, in written and spoken formats, supporting engaging dialogue with senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex and sensitive compliance matters, balancing commercial realities with high ethical and regulatory standards
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing various relationships effectively while providing thoughtful guidance to the organization
  • An initiative-driven, ownership-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills—and yes, a great sense of humor 😊
