Job Description:
Malouf is looking for a Global Compliance Coordinator. This position will be responsible for ensuring all Malouf products comply with regulatory requirements as well as our own strict standards. This position will work with our product design/development team to facilitate the sharing of information with various stakeholders through administration and maintenance of our internal systems and tools. The successful candidate will also collaborate closely with our suppliers and retail customer to ensure conformance of raw materials, finished products, and factory procedures to various domestic and international regulatory standards and customer requirements.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
  • Communicate daily with regulatory entities, global auditing agencies, suppliers and our retail customers to ensure full product and supplier compliance requirements are met.
  • Coordinate customer specific audits with suppliers and ensure they are executed to completion in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate lab testing of products based on customer testing protocol requirements.
  • Ensure all law label registrations are renewed in a timely manner and remain valid.
  • Submit applications with all required documentation for new law labels.
  • Ensure compliance with our internal product development process and ensure that required information has been captured at critical development milestones.
  • Perform data entry and validation in our internal systems so they remain up to date with supplier and product related compliance requirements.
  • Research and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base on compliance requirements for both global regulatory and product requirements
  • Develop and maintain process and procedure for all compliance related activities
  • Coordinate and communicate compliance requirements to internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Assist in the product development cycle of new products to ensure timelines are met and costs for compliance requirements are accounted for accurately.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years in a compliance or business administration role related to consumer products. manufactured by a global supplier base.
  • Deep understanding of global consumer product compliance regulations for consumer goods.
  • Previous experience with the scheduling of diverse types of audits and execution of supplier corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of MS office systems – Excel proficiency.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, take initiative, and complete tasks on time.
  • Passion for regulatory compliance and sustainability.
Welcome, but not required:
  • Document control experience in an ISO  9001 or similar quality management system
  • Experience or knowledge with ISO 14001 & 45001
  • Experience with compliance related systems and tools
  • Experience configuring and maintaining a compliance information repository
