Summary of Position:
The Compliance and Privacy Intern is a part-time position working twenty (20) hours per week.
This position will support the Compliance & Privacy team in ensuring organizational adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. This internship provides hands-on experience in healthcare compliance, risk management, privacy operations, and governance processes within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment.
The intern will gain exposure to real-world compliance activities, including audits, risk assessments, board reporting, and operational support, while working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to:
· Assist with compliance and privacy administrative functions and daily operations
· Support preparation of Board of Directors presentations, including PowerPoint slide development
· Participate in auditing activities and documentation review
· Assist in conducting and documenting risk assessments
· Prepare meeting agendas, materials, and take detailed meeting minutes
· Support development of risk and quality reports for leadership review
· Assist with facility site surveys and compliance monitoring activities
· Help maintain compliance documentation and tracking tools
· Collaborate with team members on special projects and process improvements
Learning Opportunities:

QualificationsQualifications:
Basic Knowledge and Skills:
· Must be actively enrolled in a Health Information Systems program at an accredited college.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Work Environment:
This position may involve a combination of administrative office work and on-site support at CTC facilities. Interns may participate in meetings, audits, and site visits as part of their learning experience.
