Role Summary
The Compliance team is accountable for managing various activities to ensure customer, employee, and third-party compliance with Thomson Reuters policies, third-party requirements, and regulatory obligations. The Compliance Analyst is a versatile and innovative individual filling a key role supporting various compliance activities as a member of the Enterprise Risk & Compliance (R&C) program within Thomson Reuters Enabling Functions of the General Counsel’s Office reporting directly to the Manager, Compliance Operations. This position will work very closely with colleagues across the compliance team as well as various Thomson Reuters departments including segment/sales, marketing, commercial excellence, legal and product.
The ideal team member is highly organized and can execute defined processes. This team member is comfortable partnering with the team and other areas of the business to efficiently and effectively complete responsibilities. This individual is expected to look for process improvement opportunities within the team and the compliance program to ensure we deliver a positive experience for our customers. Training will be provided. This is an excellent mid-level position to grow as a compliance professional.
About the Role:

Assist with compliance misuse investigations, use case vetting, and customer reviews

Manage compliance team reporting and metrics
-
Execute compliance policy and process activities from creation to implementation

Support training and communication activities as requested
-
Support the ongoing evolution and execution of the overall compliance program

Support verification and compliance teams with internal QA reviews as well as third-party audit requests

Handle internal product access requests

Assist with projects as needed and other duties as assigned

Provide litigation support as needed
About You:

The following are required for success in this role:

3-5 years of business and/or legal experience
-
Clear and effective communication skills (written and verbal) focused on excellent customer service
-
Demonstrated ability to examine a set of facts, perform thorough analysis and reach a determination based on compliance guidelines without close supervision

Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
-
Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
-
Excellent PC skills and familiarity with Microsoft 365 and secure cloud services (including SharePoint and Teams), SAP, and Salesforce required; familiarity or experience with data visualization software (e.g., PowerBI, Tableaux), data analytics, and risk & compliance solutions a plus.

Ability to establish and maintain productive internal business relationships

High level of initiative and ability to perform in a fast-paced, matrix environment

Bachelors’ Degree
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Juris doctorate or ABA-approved paralegal certificate

Prior experience in a law firm or in-house legal department

Experience with policy and process reviews, development, and implementation

Be accountable for monitoring product alerting and manage subsequent investigations to ensure appropriate product use

Assist with the customer audit program to ensure customer compliance with product use obligations and restrictions

Attend and apply ongoing training to further develop knowledge, skills and abilities

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: Eagan, MN; Ann Arbor, MI; Richmond, VA; Rochester, NY. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $67,800 - $126,000. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
